Our founder
KJ Plank, founder of GSA, is a recognized leader in energy storage and transition technologies with a strong record of building successful ventures and innovative products. As a senior executive at Powin, he led new technology investments and M&A, achieving over 50x growth in new product revenue and expanding global market share. At Strata Clean Energy and Doosan GridTech, KJ built and led high-performing teams that developed pioneering solutions for green hydrogen, grid management, and battery energy storage.
KJ also played a key role in shaping energy strategies at Edison International, working directly with senior leadership to advance the deployment of grid-scale energy storage in California. A Stanford-trained engineer, Kellogg MBA, and US Navy submarine veteran, KJ brings a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to help clients excel in the evolving energy landscape.
